The Journey so far…

In Tabo, we stayed at Tow Dhey Himalaya Hotel run by Mr. Anil which was quite a decent stay though Anil ji is struggling hard to hold onto the boys for service and cooking. Luckily for us the boys were there at that time and they were decent enough at their service and cooking skills.

Day 3 | Tabo – Kaza – Losar

6th May 2013: Again nothing much happened over this day rather plain, boring drive with least pictures being taken on one of the most beautiful routes in Spiti Valley that is between Kaza & Losar 🙁 … The drive was easy and we took it at a leisure pace, stopped at Kaza met some friends, especially Tsering who runs Sakya Abode and one new hotel at mon in Kaza. Tsering also runs a homestay at which I stayed last time when I visited Spiti Valley. We had a breakfast with him, chatted lot about Travel and Spiti and left for Losar. He is one gem of a person actually doing something for Spiti Valley. Here are some of the pictures from Day 3…

    Dheeraj bhai,
here is the itinerary made by you :

    Day 1 | Kalka – Sarahan
    Day 2 | Sarahan – Kalpa
    Day 3 | Kalpa – Nako Lake – Tabo
Day 4 | Tabo – Pin Valley – Dhangkar/Dhangkar Lake (it will be a bit cold though mangeable)
Day 5 | Dhangkar Lake – Kaza. Check-in at hotel, do Ki-Kibber-Gete in the second half of the day.
Day 6 | Kaza – Langza – Komik – Hikkim – Kaza (DO not miss Komik)
Day 7 | Kaza – Losar – Snow Point towards Kunzum Pass – Losar – Kaza. Do not stay back at Losar because next day ourney will get long then and you need to miss the Geyu Mummy.
    Day 8 | Kaza – Geyu Mummy – Sangla/Chitkul
    Day 9 | Sangla/Chitkul
    Day 10 | Sangla/Chitkul – Kalka

    I have some questions :

    1. in this group ladies will also be there….so camping in the early state of journey….just after Kalpa….will that be any problem ragarding AMS & all ??

    2. need detail info (if you have any in your blog) on langza, komic, giyu…specially the route details..

    3. in day 4 you have stated as : Tabo – Pin Valley – Dhangkar/Dhangkar Lake (it will be a bit cold though mangeable). If I can’t camp near lake…then what will be the itinerary? will I able to cover both pin valley & dhankar on the same day after leaving Tabo & reach Kaza ?
